Former Blues captain Paolo Piliero wasn’t in the opposite ranks as his new side strode to victory at Grange Park, but there was a return for ex-defender Carl Sibson.
For United, Welsh made some changes but kept the core of the side that beat Arnold Town 3-1.
The game started off well for the Blues who came out strong. Big headers followed big tackles as United appeared to have the upper hand on the opposition.
Loughborough were equally up for a game and capitalised on a chance against the run of play to go 1-0 . United didn't let their heads drop and kept attacking the Dynamo back line, but the front two of Ford and Savage struggled to create clear opportunities.
Dynamo took control of the match after half-time, closing United down and forcing them into errors as they struggled to string a number of passes together.
The boys tried to get back into the game but they couldn’t crack Dynamo’s back line.
When the United back three found themselves out numbered by Dynamo’s attack in the final five minutes, it was 2-0 and game over.
A good pre-season test.
Next up Boston United on Saturday, July 28. Kick off 3pm.
