United face Pinxton in FA Vase

Long Eaton United have been drawn at home in the 2nd round of the FA Vase where they will play Pinxton FC.

The draw for the 2nd round of the FA Vase was made at 1pm today (Monday) and it see's Derbyshire side Pinxton travel to Grange Park sponsored by Newmans Garage.

Pinxton FC currently lie 11th in the Central Midlands League South and beat Cradley Heath 1-0 at home to progress to round 2.
They have also beat Lincoln Moorlands Railway in the previous round 4-1.

In the league they have won 4 drew 1 lost 5 but have as many as 4 games in hand on the sides above them.

They were formed in 1994 and finished 2nd in the division last season. The match will be the furthest the club have been in the FA Vase.

There could be another good crowd as the opponents are just 25 minutes up the M1.

As a result of this tie the Midland Football League tie at home to Alvechruch is postponed, a new date will be published as soon as its available.
