The former Derby County and Oxford United midfielder joined Long Eaton United on dual-registration from Ilkeston Town last November and has since made 18 appearances for The Blues, scoring twice.
“[We are] extremely pleased Jamie has committed to being with us for the new season,” first-team manager Brad Munn said: “He came in last season and was in the middle of coming back from some injuries but his quality was there for all to see.
“Having a full pre-season to get him to full health is key and we will see a completely different animal. People with his quality and attitude are owed the respect and time to show their levels.”
Munn added: “He brings far more than just footballing ability, his communication in-game and how he conducts himself at the club is a credit.
“Our conversation has been very positive and we both completely agree that we want to help the club and squad reach the heights this year.
“We, as a management team, can’t wait to have a full pre-season and get the most out of this group.
“Welcome back, Bruise.”
